Research
Summary
My general research
interests are Pattern Recognition and Digital Signal Processing. I am also interested
in general Computer Engineering topics.
My Master's research dealt
with sensor networks and was part of the SensIT
project in UW-Madison. Two of our goals are to develop algorithms for
reliable fusion of data among sensors and for vehicle classification. We have
developed algorithms for vehicle classification based on acoustic and seismic
sensors, and have used the gathered data and results to develop fusion algorithms
to increase the success rate for overall classification in the sensor network.
My current research deals with fast algorithms for reconstruction in the compressed sensing setting, as well as
distributed architectures for compressed sensing. For more information on the topic, visit the Rice University Compressed Sensing Group Site.
I am also involved in the very exciting Compressive Imaging project.
